Save the Prince's Theatre, North Shields (Beach Bingo next to the metro station) to reopen as a variety theatre.
This massive old 1600 seater theatre, situated right next to the metro station, is big enough to host the full west end shows, plays, big name performances and national bands that people will come from far and near to see.
And because it's right next to the metro, wherever you are on Tyneside, its easy to reach.
Big theatres are very rare these days, and its bigger than the Theatre Royal, the biggest theatre in Newcastle.
Let's use this opportunity to help regenerate North Shields in time for it's 800 birthday in 2025
We don't want to lose our chance to see big shows here in North Tyneside by allowing it to become yet another pub. "
