#76 - what do you mean some people don't have a clue?  I have a clue and I won't sign and yes it does affect my children! I have 2 in HS now and 1 on the way to HS in 3 years.

I don't want the change if it's only for the  purpose of a handfull of children and parents who can't handle change of 'friends'.  And my decision is not based on thinking one school is better than the other since I know plenty of children who attend all 3 HS in TR and are doing great at each one.  Would these parents not relocate during their kids Intermediate and HS years because they think their kids would be traumatized?

Yes these are difficult years and their are young adults but getting them set as strong individuals for the future is important.  Sheltering them now is not going to make it easier for them in 4 years.

Wonder how many of the signatures on this petition are actual parents of kids being affected by the  HS within the next 1-8 years and how many are friends and family.

If the school district has a need to change directions it would and should be based on the need because they can't offer a quality program at North due to overcrowding as I have read some imply on some comments - yet I haven't heard of a classroom having an extra ordinary high pupil count.  My HS we had 30-35 per class and we all survived!  North I believe doesn't even come close to that..?
