Það kemur því miður fyrir að stundum situr fólk inni fyrir hluti sem það gerði ekki og það má aldrei vanmeta alvarleika þess og skaða þegar það gerist. En það er nú samt þannig að oftast er það á hinn veginn (og sem betur fer!). En burtséð frá sakfellingu Tysons þá viðhefur hann alvarlega og skaðlega orðræðu um konur sem niðurlægir þær, gerir lítið úr þeim og gefur til kynna að þær séu annars flokks. Það er í sjálfu sér næg ástæða til þess að safna undirskriftum. Til þess að fá örlítið skarpara sjónarhorn á málið má skipta út konum og setja annan hóp í staðinn, eins og hinsegin fólk, gyðinga eða fólk af erlendum uppruna. Myndum við vera jafn áfjáð í að fá einstakling til landsins sem talaði eins og Tyson talar um konur, um samkynhneigða eða múslima? |
