I want the PVL/PLT to be included in the Forth Level of student of LLB so they can gain practicals like other fields like Teaching and Doctors. We as LLB students need that privilege too because moot court competition doesn’t really help because it’s not a requirement to practice.Katlego Tlou (Pretoria, 2026-03-14)

I'm a law student currently, and this current system is affecting us as future legal practitioners and this change would be a break-through to our future legal systemAluve Gobisba (Polokwane, 2026-03-14)

It makes sense for PVT to be included as part of the LLB curriculum. Most of us do not have money to attend law schools. The inclusion of PVT as part of the LLB programme would alleviate the financial burden that many LLB graduates have.Bathini Gcina (Tarkastad, 2026-03-14)

I am signing this petition because I find it unfair that law student should go this process that includes alot of money while other professions like nurses get placementsEzile Msebenzi (East London, 2026-03-14)

I’m signing because I am also one of the learners who are struggling financially and consequently, I am excluded from accessing practical training. Unfortunately, articles are not so easy to find as a graduate with no practical skills or experience. I believe that the fences surrounding the legal field should be removed to make entry fair for all qualifying candidates.Musa Mabena (Johannesburg, 2026-03-14)

I also do think that it is quiet costly and also getting the degree is costly ,it's not easy to pull out 22k,it'll be much easier for Pvt be incorporated into LLBKaitlyn shontay Sahdeo (Durban, 2026-03-14)

As an LLB student, I believe the cost of PVT/PLT creates an unfair barrier for graduates who already struggle financially. Integrating practical vocational training into the LLB curriculum would make the legal profession more accessible to all South African students.Alungile Mancanca (East London, 2026-03-14)

Im signing this petition because I understand the hardship of candidates that wish to enter the legal fraternity and this is a very big hindrance to achieving that goal as most of the leaners are from poor background and are un able to pay this monies.Makwela Kgaugelo (Pretoria, 2026-03-14)

Im signing because im studying llb currently and having to think still on rhe future mattee after unisa searching to do my pvt and having to work on paying and studying outside the line of llb while i could have done it in the same time span or under the qualification instead of 4 years to 5 year degree almose like the doctors makes more senseMichael Rhode (Cape Town, 2026-03-15)

I am a law student and from a disadvantaged school, it really is sad to think that there are 99% chances of me being unemployed for almost my whole life when I have went to school like other kids. It's like the government doesn't care about law students, and if they don't why not remove the qualifications from universities?Rito Nkanyani (Limpopo, 2026-03-15)

There are too many hurdles to jump to become an attorney. These hurdles often require a lot of money that disadvantaged prospective lawyers cannot afford. Universities need to integrate the PLT curriculum into their yearbooks so that when students graduate they are fit to write boards and integrate into a law firm to complete their articles.Mmanoko Masipa (Germiston, 2026-03-15)
#295
I'm signing because i understand how difficult it is for law students, straight out of university to be able to afford law school ,hence i highly believe that it should be integrated into the LLB CurriculumThabiso Sibiya (Bloemfontein, 2026-03-15)

I'm signing this because, what the LPC is doing to us as law students and law graduate is unfair, and they're robbing us money and time. We struggle to find articles of clerckship. We want attorney admission immediately after graduation, just like them teacher and doctors.France Monyayi (Pretoria, 2026-03-15)

I am signing this petition because the cost of PVT/PLT is too high for unemployed LLB graduates like me. Many graduates from disadvantaged backgrounds cannot afford R22 000 for practical training after already completing a degree. Practical training should be included in the LLB curriculum so that students can graduate with the required experience without additional financial burden.Mulanga Mabaya (Thohoyandou, 2026-03-15)
#348
I'm signing because I'm also a law student and 22k is a lot of money to do PVT, majority of us can't raise that amount as if we are doing a course at university, so it should be incorporated into the LLB curriculum to avoid delaying usDimpho Kgomo (Johannesburg, 2026-03-15)

I'm one of many LLB graduates who come from disadvantaged background and I couldn't afford the PVT fees.Zandile Precious Fudumele (Johannesburg, 2026-03-15)

Why should unemployed LLB graduates have to pay almost R22k for doing practicals of 6 months and still have to write Board Exams on top of everything else, PVT can costs lot of money and graduates from disadvantage families can't afford anything near that amount and there are no any other financial aid to fund the law school, which really kills and delay the future of the South African youths. We're only asking Legal Practice Council, Law Society of South Africa, and LEAD to change and integrate the 6 months PVT course into LLB

I also find it too hard for us as students from disadvantaged background to pay for PLT that's worth a lot of money instead the 6 moths for PLT should be made to be part of the LLB curriculum.Sbonelo Khumalo (Durban, 2026-03-15)

I'm signing this petition because to many of us as law graduates are vulnerable and cannot afford the amount that is required for PVT and it is a well known fact that finding articles without PVT is a very difficult task as it turned to be a requirement in most firms so I see LLB without PVT as a useless qualificationMzuhleli Jijiza (Mount Ayliff, 2026-03-15)

Paying almost R22,000 for the 6-month PVT/PLT after completing an LLB is unfair, especially for graduates from disadvantaged backgrounds. Practical training should be part of the final-year curriculum, just like teaching or medical students complete their practicals before graduating. Integrating PVT/PLT would remove financial barriers, better prepare students for legal practice, and help more young South Africans enter the profession without unnecessary delaysUrusla De Bruin (Cape Town, 2026-03-15)
