I'm signing this because it is essential that more women work in the construction industry. More women will bring about a safer, more balanced, skilled culture.

Very short-sighted to cut funding for this.

The lack of diversity in the construction industry is archaic and needs to change.

This project has huge benefits to women getting into construction. I have been mentoring one career changer and can see first hand the benefits of being on a project that supports women to get into the construction industry. If this person was doing this on her own, she would not have had support in overcoming the barriers she's encountered as a woman in construction and would not have had coaching support from a female mentor, which she has found very empowering. For me as a mentor, the scheme has been fantastic in supporting me to improve on my coaching interventions and offer appropriate support, which is underpinned by coaching theory and making me a stronger and more qualified mentor to encourage and support more women going into construction.

To stop funding for a project half way through where peoples lives are affected is gross negligence on the part of CITB especially when the company promotes itself for being at the top for encouraging diversity - shocking
