I'm signing because I believe that there is a better and humane way of solving stray dogs problem than rewarding people to cage them and impound them. That will never be a good idea. If I were a bad person, and I lobe to be rewarded with money, I'd keep dogs, grow them, and cage them, and submit it as a stray dog to the pound. Rewarding people to cage dogs is a stupid and lazy solution. The best solution for me is proper education about taking care of animals, the responsibility of keeping them, importance and advantages of neutering, and vaccination.

I'm signing the petition because the proposal of the Mayor is not the right thing to do, impounding animals will not solve the issue; for years this has been the solution that LGUs implements but impounding animals is not really effective as we can still see lot of dogs and cats are on the streets. Catching the stray dogs and cats will only cause harm to animals and to people who will try to catch them. He should have at least observe the island and ask the community on possible ways. I believe it is much better if he will educate the people about animal welfare act and on how to be a responsible owner, spaying, neutering and vaccinate them. I had have been on the different beaches here in the Philippines as I observed dogs are always present. They are playful, friendly and full of genuine happiness and love. They also used to be local guides as they will follow you around. Being on the beach surrounded by wonderful creatures (dogs/cats) makes the scenery more beautiful and attractive.
