This is a really unique place in Singapore… which needs more farms like this and it would be a real loss to the country if this farm disappears. It’s also a great place to bring children so they can learn about using land for food production.Sarah Kuipers (Frome, 2026-04-29)

We are a family of 4 with 2 kids at primary school and we have been this Bollywood farms more than 10 times. We really love this farm because this is only place in Singapore we find it natural and we feel no stress. every time we come here it’s always things to learn. This is a place better than indoor playground where the kids and adult and enjoy live. I saw foreigners come here and I really think government should invest here to be a tourist area. It will definitely become one of the highlight like Singapore Zoo. The fact is also we have not much place to go in Singapore when we hope to bring our kids to explore naturalSiow Chee Choh (Singapore, 2026-04-30)

I deeply value the nostalgic kampong spirit that Bollywood Farms preserves—where nature, community, and tradition come together. It is more than just farmland; it is a living classroom where people of all ages can reconnect with the land, understand where their food comes from, and experience true farm-to-table living. In a fast-paced urban environment like Singapore, spaces like Bollywood Farms play a vital role in educating future generations about sustainability, biodiversity, and our relationship with Mother Earth. Children and young adults who visit the farm gain firsthand knowledge about natural farming, responsible consumption, and the importance of protecting our environment—lessons that cannot be fully replicated in textbooks or classrooms.
Preserving Bollywood Farms also means preserving a piece of our cultural heritage. It reflects the kampong values of simplicity, resilience, and harmony with nature—values that are increasingly rare but deeply important for shaping a balanced and mindful society.
For these reasons, I strongly believe that the government should reconsider any plans to take over this land. Instead, efforts should be made to support and sustain places like Bollywood Farms, so they can continue their important work in education, conservation, and cultural preservation for generations to come.

Every city requires some unstructured life to be more humane. Bollywood is a rare concept that's completely home grown and represents innovation and balance with nature. Keeping it reminds us to be humble and thoughtful. There's no disadvantage to keeping the landMei Jun Ang (Singapore, 2026-05-01)

Bollywood farms should be allowed to continue for as long as possible. It really is the last surviving proper farm with a dining spot - which is wonderful for families and not just kids, but fot senior folks as well. My elderly parents reminisce about kampung days, I bring overseas guests over to see a different side of Singapore. I think this is precious. I am sure it takes a lot of hard work to build it from scratch, maintain and keep it alive. Do keep it going! 100% support here 💪🙌🫶 from a Singaporean family of 6 with many many friends with kids, elderly, overseas friends. CheersJacelyn N (Singapore, 2026-05-01)

In a concrete and structured Singapore there needs to a place where kids can run in nature freely. Recently my new BTO placed a huge banner been restricting kids from playing ball games in the playground which is the only space catered for children. I am very sure that I am not the only one facing this, having Bollywood farms allow kids to be kids without silly restrictions.James Anand Sagaram (Singapore, 2026-05-07)

I'm signing because this farm is where I came for lunch every Saturday afternoon when I was a child, where I had my first and only birthday party, and where my father finished his ride from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur and back with Standard Chartered. This farm is a big part of my childhood. While my sentimentality may not count for much, I believe that in the fast paced rat race of our city, it is important to preserve these last few pockets of memories and respite for our future generations. From a pragmatic standpoint, this farm also supports many social causes and is able to generate revenue as a tourist destination. For these many reasons, I hope that Bollywood Farms will be able to extend its lease.Priscilla Ooi (Singapore, 2026-05-09)

Families, students, tourists, and nature lovers alike have found joy, peace, and connection there. In a rapidly urbanising Singapore, spaces like Bollywood Veggies are increasingly precious. It is one of the few places where people can experience kampung spirit, learn where food comes from, and reconnect with the land. Beyond its greenery and food, it represents values that are deeply important: community, environmental awareness, local resilience, and cultural identity.
Closing Bollywood Veggies would mean losing:
* An important educational space for future generations
* A unique piece of Singapore’s rural heritage
* Support for local farming and sustainability efforts
* A beloved retreat that promotes mental wellbeing and appreciation for nature
As Singapore continues to develop, we hope there will still be room for places that preserve our humanity, heritage, and relationship with the environment. Progress should not come at the cost of losing the very spaces that make Singapore unique and liveable.
We sincerely appeal to the relevant authorities and stakeholders to reconsider any plans that would result in the closure of Bollywood Veggies, and to explore alternatives that would allow this treasured space to continue serving the community for years to come.

I’m signing because I believe in the importance of Bollywood Farms as a place of knowledge, a learning classroom, taken care by stewards with decades of knowledge of how to take care of our land and help it thrive, and the incredible biodiversity the area has supported with soil that has been cultivated all this time. Some people may think that people with the knowledge can just restart the same thing somewhere else, but we lose the progress that has been made there – progress that has been compounded over all these years, and will continue compounding. The soil and biodiversity can’t simply be relocated, and even if Bollywood Farms is to be relocated now as the lease is coming up, won’t they just be moved from space to space as more land is reclaimed here and there? Why are we scrapping all the progress and trying to restart somewhere else where preservation is not guaranteed as well?
I strongly believe that our government needs to look more into the protection of dwindling soil-based farms in Singapore, where people have learned to work with our earth, not trying to ‘hack nature’s efficiency’ in indoor systems separated from nature. This will not only build climate resilience through the tending of the land, but also contribute to cultural preservation of decades-old knowledge and practices, and foster a deeper sense of appreciation for our food sources across generations, sharing the joy and wisdom to future generations. I sincerely hope Bollywood Farms will not be the next land-based farm to be relocated, and that there will be better planning to conserve the remaining land-based farms in Singapore. We cannot be called a City in Nature if we are constantly disrupting nature and moving where it’s convenient, placing nature’s needs after the human agenda. These words are not eloquent and there are many more experts and resources who can explain concepts to greater detail and clarity, as I am still in the process of learning why and how we can better protect our environment, especially in the Singapore context, but I hope we can work towards better solutions. Thank you for your consideration.
