Business Owner Meeting to discuss FoodFirst
2016-03-07 22:24:50Business owners are convening Monday March 14th at 8am. My original intention for creating this petition is to show that the "The Business Community" has diverse voices. I think it is important that the business community at large understand this point. Attending this meeting may help other business owners in teh community expand their point of view. Does anyone want to go together? I know I am intimidated to show up their own my own. My email is serenityandwisdom@gmail.com LEt me know! Much appreciation, Kim
Here is the announcement:
Please join us next Monday morning (March 14) to discuss how Carrboro
businesses can have a voice in the debate surrounding the IFC's proposal to
expand its services in Carrboro to include a community kitchen. Our informal
group hasn't met since November, but with a public hearing on this topic
scheduled at the Board of Aldermen's 3/22 meeting it's time to reconvene.
Since November, the IFC has looked at some alternate sites but with nothing
nailed down they still would like to proceed with an ordinance change that
would allow their proposed facility on Main Street. We'll have updates on
that process and discuss how we should proceed.
We will meet at 8 a.m. March 14 in the former Tom + Chee space at 370 E.
Main St., Ste. 140. Free parking is available in the 300 East Main parking
deck.
