What's not to like? Using derelict, unsightly land? More jobs for local residents, who are constantly complaining about a lack thereof? A bit more freedom of choice in fast food? Seriously, open your eyes.

Laindon needs this development, look at the state the shopping centre has been left in after investors pulled out. Other local businesses will benefit from the trade it will bring to the area. I say YES to KFC.

Im 33 years old and grew up in laindon I bearly remember the laindon hotel as it was demolished when I was very young that site has always remained unoccupied to put a kfc there will intice people to an area of laindon that has been long forgotten and everyone likes kfc

It would be nice to see a nearby takeaway. Any thing that can produce more jobs for Laindon is a good thing. Laindon seems to have waited ages to get any thing done. I am sure it will be a great success.

A kfc would be good for bussiness and a chance for job oppertunties , also good for the public as alot of people prefur a kfc other then an just a random high street fastfood resturant , me personally would defiantly want a kfc instead of more flats or houses being built as laindon is over run and schools are having to accommodate fir the large amount of families moving into the laindon area , so a kfc or a morrisons would be more useful then any thing else being bulit , if we cant have a kfc then a morrisons would be just as useful

Since the KFC shut in the Town Centre there is no KFC really in reach of This side of Basildon and the other chicken shops tastes nothing like KFC food as well as the jobs that it will create for the area.

I agree we should have KFC in laindon it will bring money into the area along with much needed jobs. I think its a joke the planners wish it to be more in keeping with the local area, as the area is derelict. I have posted the link to this petition on my Facebook account freebay laindon that has 5000 friends hopefully we can some of them to sign in agreement and present that to the powers that be.
