Enforced Clean Up Of Derelict Norkem Park Centre!

The Norkem Park Centre on the corner of Pongolariver road and Sandrivier road has been abandoned by the owner and it is no longer cleaned or maintained.

This has caused the center to be taken over by squatters and it is used as a truck stop,  presenting a hazard to the Petrol Station next door and residents, as well as devaluing properties in the area.

This petition is to request that the Ekurhuleni Municipality, more specifically the Environmental Health Directorate and City Planning to issue notices to the owner to:

• Clean and maintain the inside as well as the outside perimeter of the centre, with immediate effect

Furthermore, 

• As the building has been abandoned for years and the community demands that the centre be be demolished and utilised as a community recreational facility or refurbished into a decent looking and functional building which compliments the value of our homes and surroundings

This petition will therefore be handed to the Ekurhuleni Environmental Health and City Planning and to the Councilor for Ward 91, Cllr Desmond Mckenzie.
