Playing BF2 with a decent commander (even a bad one tbh) was what made you feel that you were playing as a team in BF2. Resources were distributed between the team depending on where the commander deemed they were most needed, making every game different. Giving the SL the ability to drop what they want where they want is pretty much giving certain players on each team COD style killstreaks, people will jump in as SL, lock the squad and use the commander assets they now have for their own benefit rather than for the good of the team.

I dont want the BC2 type of fight in BF3 with a poxy sniper with mortars, we need the commander back!

Commander feature is a must for Battlefield series, especially for the game to be manageable with 32 players involved in each team. Let it be optional at least, the way that 'hardcore mode' works in BF:BC2.

Keep the commander function in BF3. If it needs improvement then improve it, but don't dump it.
