The dog parks in La Cala and now Riviera have both been closed. The problem seems to be that they have been located right in heart of residential areas and so some of the neighbours who do not like dogs complain about the noise. We don't need anything fancy, just a good sized area for the dogs to interact and be dogs, a bench to sit on and water for the dogs to drink if possible.

WE NEED A DOG PARK IN LA CALA OR CALAHONDA ,ITS NOT JUST THE DOGS PARK TO RUN AND SOCIALIZE ,ITS FOR MEETING DIFFRENT PEOPLE,AND MAKING GOOD FRENDS,PLEASE GIVE US THIS OPERTUNITY TO SHOW YOU THIS WILL BE A GREAT OPERTUNITY TO GET PEOPLE OF CALAHONDA TOGETHER WITH THERE DOGS,AFTER ALL GIVE US SOMTHING BACK WHAT WE HAVE PUT IN TO THE SOCIETY SANDRA HOWELLS STORM THE DOG .

Te Park in La Cala was closed because one of the neighbours kept telling non residents they were not allowed to use "their park", quicking everyone out, standing in front of the gate like a guard, not allowing the use of the park; to te point of a morning calling the police (I was present that morning) and sayig to the police, the park was own by his community, when the park was the town halls land.....

The park in Riviera has been closed due to unfortunate death of two dogs.  The grounds contain hazarous poisoning material.......

el parque en La Cala fue fenomenal por perros y gente,un ambito estupendo y una grandissima lastima que ya no esta. Porfavor que se abre de nuevo asi que es terreno municipal! Gracias!

We have just got back from the newly opened dog park at Nagueles, and wont be going back anytime soon. Unless you want to use the few agility things there is very little open area for the dogs to play ball or run around.

The dog park at Fuengirolo (not spelt right) is how to make the area dog and owner friendly.

I have signed the petition for a dog park, and it would be nice to have a pet and owner friendly area.
