how many of you are willing to pay the people for there land, pay back the money that have spent already plus pay government the taxes on the land every yeah? why should they have to pay thousands of dollars in tax on the land and have no way of making back there money?

Building new hotels on undeveloped beaches is an unsustainable business model for a small island like Antigua. Focussing upon redevelopment to ensure maximum occupancy within existing hotels would be a better strategy for the island...

Why there? There are plenty of sites suitable for a golf course, and plenty already damaged by man's intrusion.  Can we not live in harmony with the natural elements for once?  Try walking the beach instead..... you would get the same exercise and less angst!

It's the Walters' land they can do as they please! If you don't agree and want it to stay untouched, simply make a better offer than the developer!

If investors want to develop a hotel, why not redevelop the damaged hotel on Half Moon Bay, or the Rex hotel on Turners Beach.
Leave Rendezvous Bay as a nature resserve. Preserve and protect a completely unspoilt beach.

Rendezvous Bay is the last bastion in Antigua of unmolested vistas and beach and should be preserved for future generations of Antiguans and tourists to visit and enjoy as an eco-tourism walking and hiking experience, promoted and encouraged by the National Parks Authority. All round the island there are unfinished hotel projects in far less sensitive spots. The Antiguan Authorities should stand firm and refuse this planning application, especially when there are still masses of places for hotels to be built and jobs created, such as Hodges Bay hotel/appartments (incomplete), Half Moon Bay hotel still wrecked etc etc. To sacrifice Rendezvous for the short term gain of investors would be madness and rob Antiguans of their natural heritage.

November 2011 I rode a horse along this beautiful beach. The waves crashed onto the sand just me a horse and one other. Please save this stunning bay,pristine beach and forest. If it is developed it will be lost forever.

A place for locals and tourists to appreciate Antigua for its true beauty, untouched by settlement or modern day influences. A relaxing environment perfect for gaining undisturbed space for couples, families or groups of friends. A very rare location to come by in the world let alone just the caribbean that is well worth preserving.

This beach is the most beautiful beach i have ever been to. Please do not build around it. What a travesty that would be to both the locals and tourists!
