I don't live in the UK anymore but public open space is very important to the community no matter where you are.

because that space belongs to the community and it should stop that way it's not an ideal area for houses anyway they can't sell the ones on sandy lane as it is

We live close by and I walk past it on my way to work everyday of the working week and I always see dog walkers,children's and folk usin it as a lovely safe piece of land to go about enjoying the outside environment!! It would be ashame to loose the area and part of the Brampton to housing which is unnecessary when there are houses and property within the area still empty!!

Sandy Lane is already a busy road, and with the development of some 60 apartments for elderly people across the road from this site if the sale is allowed to go ahead it is going to be chaotic !

Having lived in the Basford/May Bank area all my life I feel this land land should be saved and not be subject to a building project at all .

Because I passionately believe that this piece of green land close to the centre of the Newcastle under Lyme urban centre should be retained for the benefit of local residents and local workers.

Because the preservation of our green spaces in general and newcastle/stoke in particular enhances the local environment and the wellbeing for everyone in the area. Building up within the city on green spaces is counterproductive if the happiness and wellbeing of the residents/population is to be considered rather than the financial bottom line.

Its sad and sickening to see our local green belt land being eroded away in the name of money , money is not everything people want green belt areas people want freedom and not to be surrounded by buildings everywhere they walk..........

Hi, have you thought of linking up with other campaign groups, just to make the issue bigger with other like minded groups.  I know of other groups that are campaigning against the same issue as Sandy Lane is.  Green spaces are that, where ever you live, that is what I think!  

We need to stop this push from the top government to get a quota to surfice those they need to, and start thinking about what really the country needs!
