Tell the Minneapolis DFL: Move the Convention!
We, the undersigned, are asking the Minneapolis DFL to move the city convention from Pride weekend and the second to last day of Ramadan. The city convention is currently scheduled for June 24th, which is the last weekend in June.
Pride Weekend has been held during the last weekend in June since the Stonewall Riots in 1969.
Ramadan is the Holy Month of Fasting celebrated by Muslims worldwide. In 2017, it runs from May 27th to June 25th. Eid al-Fitr is the celebration of the final day of Ramadan and begins at sunset on June 24th.
