It is undoubtedly right to crack down people who abuse the system but it is equally not right to remove benefits from people who genuinely need the support to enable them to lead independent active lives. Unfortunately, because of the high cost of rehabilitation and prosthetics, amputees are the ones that seem to be vulnerable........

Tracy Stronach has a prosthetic leg, she had her leg amputated whilst training to become a midwife. She successfully completed her training and has been working ever since. Although she experiences difficulties everyday, she hasn't given up and lived off the state.

She relied on her mobility car to get her to and from work, she cant get up onto a bus and she cant afford taxis everyday and she cant walk any great distance.

The fact that Tracy makes the effort to go out to work and contribute to not only her living costs but also to all those on benifits , should be applauded.

So why stop her DLA take her car away, and say her false leg is not a walking aid?

She cant walk without it.
