Exempt water supply from loadshedding
According to our constitutional rights, we have the right to water.
It has been made clear that the municipality has it within thier power to determine loadshedding in thier area.
We the residents of Benoni petition the local municipality to exempt the grid B10 of loadshedding as that is the original grid for the water pump station as well as the water reseviour.
The area is legally classified as agricultural holdings and thus has less development, which would drain the electricity supply.
Considering the high level of theft during loadshedding of cables, as well as the damage done to the actual pump station equipment and transformers; the costs of the damages outweighs the alleged saving of electricity supply.
