joint enterprise is WRONG!!!! and is used to make the public think that justice has been done there are far too many innocents serving long sentences under the joint enterprise law most of them serving these long sentences while the real culprit walks off scot free end the joint enterprise law now it is a court full of lies !!!!!

By accepting the Governments "Tough on Crime" policy we are in effect accepting the Joint Enterprise law, because it is the JE law that allows them to fufill this policy. We need to make the Government aware that tough on Crime is no longer acceptible and that it should be "tough on criminals", THE PERPETRATORS of the crime. It is not acceptible to imprison innocent men, women and children in the 21st Century for crimes they did not commit, had no knowledge or foresight of, by using an ancient outdated Law, that clearly is not working. A law that is clearly destroying whole families. It is time that everyone who values their freedom stood up and made it clear that this must stop now and the innocent people who are still suffering be given back their freedom.

 This is a Law which is being used to the Advantage of the CPS to convict those persons that thy would otherwise be unable to convict of any Offence.

The complexities of the joint enterprise law are well documented.
Whatever one advocates as a solution will inevitably meet opposition in some quarters, but that must not deter us from finding a solution.
Lord Phillips and the law commission’s proposals for the much needed reform to the homicide law are interesting; however it does not formally address the issue of this.
“Is the defendant a murderer or not “it does address the level of culpability in murder 1-2 etc.2 meaning a mandatory life sentence is not a binding commitment as before. But it is quite clear that the public view is, a murderer should serve a life sentence at that view is highly unlikely to ever change.
Of the supposed 3 types of joint enterprise it is my view that only the joint principle type should be prosecuted as joint enterprise murder, and all other types be prosecuted under a new law of accessory’s that follow the American ethos as a maximum sentence of halve of the perpetrator or less. This would be more befitting the reality of their participation.

would a family member, relative, friend take up the fight for justice if their loved one was guilty? I for one definitely would not.The easier option is to accept guilt,painful as it might be,draw a line underneath it and move on.The reality is NOTHING could ever be as painful as fighting for justice for a loved one suffering a miscarriage of justice! Those of us that are in the position of fighting for justice know right from wrong and accept that the guilty should be punished....... Equally those not guilty as convicted need justice!! NOT injustice .

YES it should be CHANGED ? But we no what will happen ? they will only change it for them that havent been sentenced Yet ? Just like IPP it want apply Retropective, We will fight to make that happen make it apply for serving prisoners, No point in bolting the door once the horse has bolted ? We demand it applys for ALL Serving Prisoners We will fight for FREEDOM

My signature represents the injustice in the present of jurors,the wrongful convictions of the innocents.How can any accuse get a fair and honest trial with these antics in the courts ,this proves that Canada believes in guilty until proven innocent.Also appeal processing is very lenghty,too long to process,innocent people are sitting in jail,this could be be costly for the Canadian Justice system.SHAME,SHAME
