Objection to the rezoning of 2 Pretorius Street Meyerton

We as the direct community members living around 2 Pretorius Street Meyerton, object to the rezoning suggestion of the city planning team, to turn this residence into any sort of a running business.

We will be directly affected by this rezoning, as this will increase all of our property rates and taxes. 

It will bring rise and increase to criminal activities in our area. The property will be a hiding place for criminals e. g : burglars, thieves, hi jackers, drug dealers/drug users after hours, and assist the criminals in their activities by being a good spot to settle at night.

It has been proven that residential areas, with business properties in between experience more crime than close knit residences with no businesses in between.

We urge you to not proceed.
