Publish the "Silver Fang" comic in Danish

This is a petition to get the japanese manga "Ginga Nagareboshi Gin", known in Denmark as Silver Fang, translated and published in Denmark.

Most Danes who were children or young in the 90's, grew up with the cartoon about the little brave puppy Silver who battled against the giant monster bear Akakabuto. The cartoon was released in Denmark in the early 90's and became a huge success especially among children. The cartoon has been rereleased on vhs and dvd several times and is still loved by many today.

When the cartoon was released in Scandinavia it became widely popular, particularly in Finland, Sweden and Denmark. It was never released in english but still it has fans all over the world.

But before the cartoon, there was the manga. The series was published from 1983 to 1987 in japanese magazines before being released as books. The books were even more popular in Japan than the cartoon would be and managed to win awards for best  series.

Apart from the original books, the series spawned 3 sequels about Silvers son Weed and his grandchildren Orion, Sirius, Rigel and Bella.

In the past few years, Finland has translated and published the Silver Fang books with great success and are now in the progress of publishing the sequel Weed and the production of merchandise. Sweden is also negotioating to have the series released in Sweden, so it's about time Denmark followed suit and publish the popular series.

The cartoon is one of the most popular animes ever released in Denmark so there no doubt a release of the books would be a treat to the Danish manga readers. The Silver Fang series also has a large and dedicated group of fans in Denmark who would gladly fill their shelves with their favorite manga and be able to actually read the entire story about the little puppy who defeated the undefeatable bears!

If enough people sign this petition, it will be sent to different manga publishers in Denmark in the hopes of a future release of the Silver Fang series.
