Subject: Urgent Request for Emergency Special General Body Meeting on Lift Management

Dear President,

We are writing as concerned residents of the GVGN community to formally request the convening of an Emergency Special General Body Meeting (SGBM) to address the critical issue of lift management within our residential complex.

Recently, a comprehensive Technical Audit of the lifts in our community was conducted, and the subsequent report has been published on the My Gate platform. The findings of this audit have raised serious concerns among the residents, as the outcome suggests potential risks to our safety and well-being. The worry of potential accidents and loss of life due to lift malfunctions is a matter that deeply troubles all of us.

We have been made aware of a tragic incident in another residential society where a woman lost her life due to lift-related issues. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of ensuring the proper functioning, maintenance, and safety of our lift systems. It is our collective responsibility to prioritize the well-being of our fellow residents and to take proactive measures to prevent any such unfortunate incidents.

Board of Management (BOM) with regard to the repair and maintenance of our lifts. The absence of a transparent roadmap has led to speculation and anxiety among the residents. Irresponsible statements circulating on social media platforms only exacerbate these concerns.

As a veterans' society, we understand that lifts are not just a convenience but a lifeline for many of our esteemed members. Given the pivotal role that lifts play in our daily lives, it is imperative that we come together to ensure their proper functioning and safety.

With this in mind, we, the concerned residents and members of the Resident Welfare Association (RWA), earnestly request the immediate convening of an Emergency SGBM with a single agenda focused on the resuscitation and maintenance of our lifts. This meeting will provide us with a platform to discuss the Technical Audit Report, understand the action plan proposed by the BOM, and collectively make informed decisions to address the challenges.

We believe that transparency, open dialogue, and collective decision-making are essential in addressing this critical issue. We request your urgent attention to our plea and kindly ask that you consider scheduling the Emergency SGBM at your earliest convenience. The safety and well-being of our community members are of paramount importance, and we are confident that together, we can find viable solutions to ensure the proper functioning of our lift systems.

We eagerly await your response and the announcement of the Emergency SGBM date and agenda. Your commitment to our community's welfare and your leadership in times of need are greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Warm regards,

Col Vineet Dev
