The strike is long past its "sell by date"
It is now a case of human pride, maybe arrogance of leaders who stubbornly carry on with outrageous demands and neglecting their responsibility towards their members who are suffering together with thousands of other innocent people.

Unions should be banned cause they are the ones messing up our country. Government should not allow any strikes at all, its not just about the money. See how innocent people get hurt who is not even part of their strike. Union leaders are gaining you the member are paying them to mess up YOUR work, YOUR future, THINK PEOPLE, DO YOU REALLY NEED UNIONS.

I have family and friends in Rustenberg that is feeling the effects of the strike

This is no longer about the The miners , this is Joseph Mathunjwa nursing his pride , and the members of his Union sacrificing their lives 4 him , Our government should find a way to stop trade unions from sabotaging companies and the country's economy 4 stupid demands , spoken from a black man's perspective !

We are tired of this strike because our contract also support the mine with hoses and fittings,so if the mine is on strike we are struggling to get paid.Please lets stop this fucking strike and go back to work.

Strike will not provide for you, your family or your future. Only the Lord will provide. Follow His footsteps of love, wisdom and light.

Let the Union people also not get a salary - they should join the strikers in their fight in every literal sense. Let them also suffer instead they get their fat salaries, drive good cars and go home to nice houses and good food - where is the fairness

It is effecting everyone! We are all losing and not winning! My Mother's salary was cut in half after 7 years of employment in a bank/cash loan company. My father has been without work for a year now, looking for job in the mines. These that are striking have selfish motives. Not caring what they are doing to their fellow brothers and sisters. It is so disappointing!

Striking employees are currently without pay for two months and are sacrificing with their lives whereas there is a hidden agenda which is not disclosed by the Union leaders. The strike of this sort should not be allowed by the Government because it immediately negates the countries constitution which gives inhabitants a freedom and rights to work to uplift their situation. This unguided strike worsen the employees situation and has now opened a big gap in their lives which will not be closed in two years for now. The damage in individual's lives increase with the time period of strike. It is really without sense for now. The effects will be born for a long period. It is very much unfortunate to strike in this manner when there is 25% of unemployment. The timing is not right. The strike is not wanted at all because it does not fix any situation but only causes damages.
