East Rand Child Welfare

Because the Government is not giving attention to the welfare of South AFrican children!!!!

I work in the health sector and I am thus very aware of the funding allocations to the provision of social services in this country. They are exceptionally short of funding and the provision of social services is this land of ours is critically constrained.

The people of this country are not getting what they voted for. That is why so much underfunding and mismanagement is in place.

I signed because the children are our future and they can't defend for themselves. We need to ensure that they are well looked after so that they can turn into well adjusted adults who can have a bright future ahead of them. Life is difficult enough as we get older, please allow our children to be just that......children, so that they can run, play and laugh and not worry about where their next meal is coming from.

TO TRY AND GET OUR GOVERNMENT TO WAKE UP !!!!!!!

Children support is needed

I believe that the ruling government is not caring for the children and the poor is this country. Where is all the Tax monies going to? Our country is in one hell of a state

This Government needs to start doing whats right. They need to take care of the children and well as the elderly of our beautiful country. One group is starting their lives and another is coming to the close of theirs. Why cant we as a people help them do it with a little comfort. Mind you, when we talk about our countries 'children', we should put a cap on the age limit. 18 is no longer a 'child'. This Government needs to catch a wake-up!

Due to corruption and mismanagement of tax payers monies funds are not being channeled to the correct beneficiaries

The children are the future to any country, take care of the orphans and underpriveledge children - it is our christian and moral duty

I am an old man and children is the future of our country.

I always believed that the heads of state are the elders of any single country who looks at the well being of all family members but the ANC government has proved me wrong.

We cannot neglect looking after children as the uneducated and neglected is the ones that will be on wellfare for the rest of their lives and they infaltrate society and marry our children and it can only spell disaster. It is more important to get children educated than to look after the old and that is not saying they must not get fair treatment. Thank you for starting this and bringing it to our attention. We support the Christian Welfare in our area. We pray that you can do something about this problem.

It is totally disgusting how the ANC steal from the people who are least able to afford it or to do anything about it. These fatcats line their own pockets quite openly and still the majority of the population vote for them. Such a sad state of affairs in an otherwise beautiful country.

I agree totally with the sentiments of the petition

High time something is dpne for the elderly and children in our country.

Because this is not a government but a party without morals or standards. Is corruption there only desire and is this the vote of the people no concern as a government. We need a drastic change if you see where we are going then it is shocking. we are already following the same route as Africa in particular Nigeria.

Tired of these vital organisations being done down by government when they do so much to help those in need.

Childrern should be first in every situation

It is our God given duty to look after our children (& the elderly)

The children under Welfare protection should not be denied their children's rights as contained in Section 28 (1) (b) and (c) of our Constitution and the Children's Act. It is a serious violation of their basic human rights. The petition is a wake-up call for the ruling party to do their duty with regard to the rights of children. The petition is also good in that the voices of the masses will tell the ruling party that such violations are un-constitutional and unacceptable.

Our taxes should fund the necessary welfare structures

Because anc government officials don't care about the poor, So long as they are enriching themselves. Poor people are starving.
