Fisherhaven Horses

I signed this petition because I do love to see tha horses when I visit Fisherhaven and enjoy the bird watching. Soooo lovely!

We've spent many happy holidays in Fisherhaven. The horses and their foals are a very welcome part of the landscape. They don't bother anyone and it would be a great shame if they were removed.

animals should be allowed to roam freely and not be kept in cages, that is cruelty. i came home yesterday and all of the horses were on my property, they did not bother me at all, i just got out my car and went inside my home. they did not damage anything. i actually love it when they come 'home' for something to eat. they should be left alone and be kept safe by the law.

I signed as I believe these horses should be left alone. They have been around for a very long time. I stand corrected but think they have been here before the 1900.

The horses needs to be left alone.

I believe that the chairman of the Fisherhaven Ratepayers Association has misrepresented the Fisherhaven ratepayers when he has sat on the 'Feral Horses Task Team'.

My parents stay in Fisherhaven, we love the wild horses and look forward to seeing them when we visit and my parents keep us up to date on how they are doing through the year

The Fisherhaven horses are amazing! Such a special treat to see them when we visit friends there - it's one of the hilights that we look forward to. They have adapted to their environment, and are happy there, plus they are Wild Horses, and should not be interfered with!! Leave them alone! That is their home!!

i signed because i live in the overstrand, love seeing the horses occasionally... not always easy to see them in the vlei. its is awesome to have these wonderful creatures sharing our space!!

We spend a lot of time at fisherhaven and love seeing the horse's. They are part of Fisherhaven and would be so upset to see them go. Fisherhaven has a wonderful community that look out for the horse's and their well-being.

Why on earth would they want to remove these beautiful creatures except for money. Who wants them and for what ??? Why are humans intruding on the habitat they have live on for many many years ?

The horses are to Fisherhaven like the sea to Hermanus. This is what make Fisherhaven the awesome little hideaway it is. Please do not take our horses away

I think horses should always be free. They are part of nature.

Love going to fisherhaven have friends there and its a joy to se

We visit Meerensee often as we have as house there.The horses are such an essential part of the area.Love to watch them.Why move them from their familiar stomping ground when they are quite happy in the Fisherhaven are.They are not a menace. ...those who want to displace them are.

Unless its a matter of life and death, why relocate horses that are obviously doing well in their habitat that they managed to survive in from way back despite all odds.

We need to respect the environment with what it brings to you. This is now a free roaming space for horses for a very ling time - the same with the ferals of the Namib. Let us care for them in the same way as for those in the Namib.

I think these animals are part of Fisherhaven and is becoming a tourist attraction, they are harmless and should be left.For those who are concerned about their gardens ! have it fenced off !!
Should they be removed , I will not invest in Fisherhaven anymore and will advise any other person to do the same.

The horses at Fisherhaven are part of the charm of the Garden Route and attract many tourists, they are causing no harm and are wild and free. 

 

Please leave them to remain free and at Fisherhaven. 

 

 

I lived in Fisherhaven for many years and would love to return one day. These horses were part of our daily life, grazing at our garden fence, they were there on my daily walks at the lagoon. It is and was a privilege to live in an undeveloped piece of heaven and have these horses for our neighbours. Let them stay, this is where they have chosen to live and breed. If they wanted to be anywhere else, they would have left of their own accord. And after the trauma of possibly moving them, what will prevent them from coming "back home"?

I signed this petition because I believe it is wrong to move the beautiful wild horses from fisher haven, this is their home and they have been there long before most of the people living there. They have never harmed anybody.
