Bhagavad Gita is a book of knowledge. thus it is non-sectarian. anyone who is interested in God can't be restricted to gain the knowledge about Him by any sectarian boundary and this is very much spoken and proven in the Gita itself just like in any reputed educational university people of all nationality come and study. Bhagavad Gita was spoken by the Lord to a first class civilized warrior Arjuna and was further spoken by Sanjaya the secretary of the then king Dhrtarastra to him, and in both their opinions this Gita is meant for the whole humanity as it is promising to have that kind of knowledge which can breed real universal peace, brotherhood and prosperity for one and all. Instead of looking for banning we should wholeheartedly look for welcoming it!
