The Mahabharat (which the Bhagavad Gita is a part of) and Ramayan are not only classics of India, they are part of the world's heritage. It makes no sense to ban them.

Gita movement should not be viewed as religious movement.
The teachings in gita is for betterment of human.

This is the most enlightening book many people will read in their lifetime. It is utterly absurd to try to ban this book. It is non denominational and should not be viewed as a threat to a person of any belief system.

I have lived my life by Srila Prabhupada's Gita for the last 41 years and as a result I don't drink or smoke and am a very peaceful citizen. The Gita is followed by the 3rd largest religion in the world - Hinduism. Who are the barbarians trying to ban it in Russia? The Gita is in Sanskrit, so does that mean all the universities in Russia that teach Sanskrit will also be banned?

This is truly a barbaric act. The Bhagavad Gita is The Book of Absolute Truth. Anyone who misinterprets it must be an idiot or a demon.

А еще власть "современной" России стремится выглядеть перед мировым сообществом с лицом реальной демократии а по факту ... очень печально ... Судить книгу которой восхищался даже великий русский писатель Лев Толстой и много других знаменитых людей, не говоря о самом величии этой книги.

Dear citizens of Russia! Please stop this outrageous and barbaric behaviour towards this culture of wisdom in your country!
Bhagavad Gita is one of the bonafide and authoratative scriptures of this world in which we live,banning it is as nonsense an action as would be the banning of the English language!
Stop this action immediately and come to your senses.Whatever your motivations must be,it is simply unnacceptable to try to apply these restrictions to your legislative statutes in this day and age.
Thank you for your time,and please do not dishonour yourselves in this way.We are living in 2011,not 1011.

The people who follows Bhagavad -gita they only can be opposite of extremist.The philosophy of Bhagavad-gita teaches to be non-violent not only towards human being rather towards all living being. How they can be extremist? More over Bhagavad -gita teaches to chant GOD's name continuously to rebuild original eternal relationship with GOD.So those who interpret this activities as act of extremist, I would rather invite them to read Bhagavad -gita with the objective of extracting the philosophy from it. Krishna, The Supreme personality of God head will bless them.
Finally, advice them to chant HARE KRISHNA,HARE KRISHNA, KRISHNA, KRISHNA,HARE HARE HARE RAMA, HARE RAMA RAMA RAMA HARE HARE and try the test of it.

Это вообще прескорбно - ущемляются права человека на доступ к информации.
Конечно, кто-то может сомневаться в том, что религийное учение - информация... это ведь не расписание поездов и даже не Законы РФ! Но всеравно, Бгават-гита - просто информация, и запрещать ее - значит быть тираном...

Bhagavad Gita is the oldest and accepted by milion people in the world. Gita Give human being the knoledge how to love God, as the mission of Yesus in cristianity. then where the question for the Cristian in Russia Try ban this holy book? this attempt seem to be just religious sentiment.i hope people of Russia more mature in this democratic country......
