If you say stocking has been stopped because of genetics, how therefore by stocking a river with juveniles who parents are from the same river effect this. IT DOES NOT!!
You say stocking has been stopped as it does not work. RUBBISH. IT DOES, EXAMPLES - TAFF, TYNE, CARRON, THAMES, TRENT, DELPHI and ALL THE ICELANDIC RIVERS!!!
You say you have stopped stocking for economic reasons. WHY THEN WILL YOU NOT ALLOW THIRD PARTY STOCKING AS IT WILL COST YOU NOTHING!!!
WHY DONT YOU LISTEN TO WHAT ANGLERS WOULD LIKE. YOU HAVE AN EMPLOYEE - WHO ONE MINUTE SUPPORTS STOCKING DUE TO ITS IMPORTANCE FOR MITIGATION REASONS, THEN WHO SUPPORTS HATCHERY CLOSURES AS STOCKING IS A WASTE OF MONEY. YOU NEED TO TAKE A LOOK AT YOUR EMPLOYEE - A MR GOUGH AND ASK HIM WHY HE KEEPS CHANGING HIS MIND. WHAT RIGHT HAS HE TO DO THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE WANTED. THE CONSULTATION EXERCISE WAS AN ABSOLUTE SHAM AND THE DECISION TO MAKE THE CLOSURES WAS ALREADY DECIDED BEFOREHAND. WHY HAS THIS INDIVIDUAL GOT THE RIGHT TO GO AGAINST OTHER PEOPLES WISHES. YOU NEED TO RELEIVE HIM OF HIS POSITION WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT AND REPLACE HIM WITH SOME ONE WHO CARES ABOUT THE RIVERS AND ALL THEIR BIODIVERTITY, BECAUSE HE DOES NOT.

Dear Sir,
I would propose a view towards hatcheries in a positive light & suggest we all act together in the Atlantic salmons survival interest. I plead with all parties involved to do everything in your/their power to give nature a helping hand in these obviously difficult times for the salmon. It's obvious that the evidence lends itself to helping returning salmon eggs survive & return to ensure their survival. Please take the correct action to ensure the survival of the King Of Fish.
