I believe the Terrace should be saved as an historical landmark, and every effort should be made to get it opened as a running theatre again. Losing this building is losing history that can never be replaced. Several grocery stores have been at that location in the past, and all have failed. Hy-Vee, and the Robbinsdale City Council should all be ashamed to make a decision like this, and I'll never shop at any Hy-Vee if this does go through. Do the right thing, instead of the glorious "money" thing, and save the Terrace.

 I grew up going to this theater. I can't believe a grocery chain would take the chance of destroying a landmark in a small area like Robbinsdale. People won't forget and will not do business there. It would be so much more productive to work with the Terrace renovation, and make it an area people are drawn to for more then just shopping. I for one would drive further to avoid any business that has no regard for the neighborhood!

The Terrace theatre is a center piece of the community and many of us have found memories of this place. Don't tear down something that can't be replaced. Build your grocery store elsewhere. We already lost The Cooper, let us keep The Terrace.

I want to see the Terrace Theater remodeled and restored. It is a childhood memory for me and It would be an addition to the Robbinsdale area. We don't need another grocery store. I already will not shop at hy vee-now that I realize how little they care!

Because my son's family live in Robbinsdale, and the over all effect of that type of large conglomerate food chain, would seriously compromise the neighborhood's economy. besides there is a Cub already there. I feel a food co-op or a Costco ( which is known for its fair labor relations) would be a much better option. We don't need to encourage more Walmart type Corporations. And what will happen to those lovely small businesses occupying the rest of the mall? Its simply unfair.

I want to help in any way I can to save the Terrace theater. I grew up seeing many many movies there as far back as I can remember, all of which have become really good, special memories. I miss the beautiful atmosphere of the theater itself, and the entire lobby was really unique, too.

Too many of these beautiful 1950's buildings are being demolished, at a fast rate none the less. It's time to stop and cherish what is left before they're completely gone and all that's left is rubble in landfill.

The Terrace is a landmark. The experience of going to the Terrace in it's early days was a classy experience. The trend for movie theaters are heading that direction once again. Like the Mann Theaters in Plymouth. The architecture of the Terrace is awesome for such an experience.

The Terrace was my favorite movie theatre; the prospect for historic designation of the building should - by itself - inform Hy-Vee Real Estate managers that it is time to back off, and let the local community's preservation efforts prevail over and above corporate profit motives.

These architectural masterpieces must stand! Big-box groceries come and go but works of art like this, once gone, can never be experienced by generations who would treasure and appreciate our foresight in saving them. Do the right thing!!!

I grew up going to this theater and it is a one of a kind architectural star. Hyvee is second rate stuff anyway, we have enough bargain grocerys as it is.
