Save Nu107 FM's rock music-oriented programming format!!!

NU 107 always aired rock music. It has been their staple. In fact, it is the only radio station that promotes Filipino rock bands. The support for Filipino musicians would not be as great if they just imitate the other radio stations' styles.   Also, I do not understand why there is clamor to change its rock music-oriented format to mainstream pop. There are far more competitors in that market. There is no certainty that the company would thrive with that new program style.

It's seriously going to be the death of an era.

I've been listening to the station since I was in elementary school, and it became my saving grace to escape the fluffy world of boyzone and backstreet boys back then. Until now, it has been - and will always be - the home of rock and roll in the Philippines. It's a big loss, especially for those aspiring rock musicians like me, to let the programming format to happen because all of us know that Nu107 has been the magic toy of all Filipino rock and roll fanatics. And of course, who will forget the annual Nu Rock Awards, who became the Valhalla of the finest bands in the country. Now is the time for us to bring the love back to the station that gave us the true spirit of pinoy rock and roll. Let us all stand up for the salvation of the earth of pinoy rock and roll!!!
