My brother lost his life in 1973 and although my family no longer lives in Worthing, we still come down to visit John in his resting place.

I agree with it. Councils have too much power over our lives, and now it seems,our deaths also. People pay for the grave and the land it is on, so as long as the items placed are tasteful, from children/granchildren/family and friends, there shouldn't be a problem. In Liverpool cemeteries people decorate their graves, especially those of children, and it helps to ease the pain....better than turning to drugs or bad behaviour,etc.( A BIG 'thank you' to Liverpool City Council! ) Remember,everybody has a different interpretation of beauty, and your family may put things others don't like, but that is where goodwill to our neighbours comes in!
