Bamon are the best when I first saw them together I knew they were meant to be together.
And the book was so in for them they kissed and Damon killed himself for her.
It will be so perfect if in the show they do the same thing. The love triangle is boring just damn Elena go with Stefan that's all!
this needs to happen or the show *I think* will lost a lot of viewers...

They have potential and they are CANON in the books so if the ORIGINAL author of the book thought they have chemistry, why can't the writers explore that? It is SUCH a DISSERVICE to the fans of the books to just constantly be bombarded with this worn out love triangle. Julie Plec needs to give the other characters in the show their time to shine and not just focus the story on who she thinks should be in the spotlight. I don't understand why they can't give us Bamon when they can magically give Caroline an original vampire/hybrid.

One of the main reasons I ship them is because they respect each other. The also have sth that the other needs. Damon needs to be more selfless and Bonnie more selfish now and then. They're yin and yang. Their chemistry is out of this world. Damon and Elena are toxic and destroy each other. Damon and Bonnie are equals and would help each other. Also, I've always thought that Bonnie is one of the few people that Damon really listens to and loves. He doesn't care what Elena or even his brother tell him, and doesn't hesitate to physically attack them, but he doesn't attack Bonnie (no matter how she treats him) and actually listens to her. Finally, it's crystal clear that Stefan and Elena are soulmates and belong together, they bring out the best in each other.
