PETITION FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A MYCITI BUS STATION BETWEEN WOODSTATION AND WOOD NORTH

We, the undersigned residents, commuters, parents, learners, and community members, hereby request the construction of a MyCiTi bus station between Wood North and Parklands Secondary School, preferably near Parklands Secondary School.

There is currently no MyCiTi stop between Wood North and Parklands Secondary, creating a significant gap in public transport access for residents and learners in the surrounding areas. This forces commuters to walk long distances and exposes learners, in particular, to safety risks during early mornings and late afternoons.

The rapid population growth in the area further highlights the urgent need for accessible and reliable public transport. A MyCiTi station at this location would improve safety and accessibility, enhance the quality of life for residents, and encourage the use of public transport.

We respectfully request that the City of Cape Town assess the feasibility and prioritise the construction of a MyCiTi bus station near Parklands Secondary School.
