Português: Pela abolição da hora de Inverno
Abolish Winter Time
On October 25th, the clocks change again: they move back one hour, marking the start of winter time. This adjustment disrupts our biological clock, causing fatigue and disorientation.
This measure also has a significant social impact: less natural light at the end of the day (sun sets earlier), reducing the time available for leisure, sports, or outdoor activities after work/school.
The shift to winter time also affects the economy, particularly in the restaurant industry. During this period, there is less inclination for street shopping, terraces, and dining in the late afternoon compared to summer time.
For these reasons, it is proposed that clocks are no longer set back on the last Sunday of October.
