STATEMENT OF GRATITUDE AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
2026-08-13 13:42:14On behalf of our family, I would like to express our deepest and most sincere gratitude to everyone who stood with us in seeking justice for my beloved sister, Anda Mlondleni.
Following her tragic murder, we started a petition calling for justice and accountability. What began as our family’s desperate call for answers grew into a powerful show of support from friends, community members, colleagues, and people who had never even met our sister. Every signature, message, share, prayer, and act of support reminded us that we were not standing alone.
We are grateful to share that the individual alleged to have carried out the killing has been arrested. We also understand that the person alleged to have organised the hit has since taken his own life. While these developments cannot bring our sister back, they represent significant developments in a painful journey towards truth and accountability.
We remain mindful that the legal process must take its course and that allegations must be determined through the appropriate legal proceedings. Our family will continue to respect the work of law enforcement and the justice system as they pursue the truth and ensure that all those responsible are held accountable in accordance with the law.
Most importantly, we want to thank every person who refused to let my sister’s name be forgotten. Your support gave our family strength during some of the darkest days of our lives.
Our sister deserved to live. She deserved justice. And she deserved to be remembered.
Thank you for standing with us. Thank you for demanding justice. Thank you for helping us keep her memory alive.
May her soul continue to rest in peace, and may the truth ultimately prevail.
