Ban AI Surveillance in Australia

LETTER TO THE AUSTRALIAN PRIME MINISTER

To the Prime Minister of Australia

KEEP AUSTRALIA FREE - BAN A.I. SURVEILLANCE

Artificial Intelligence Surveillance has NO PLACE Australia. This technology is the most oppressive surveillance in human history and must be banned around the world. If not stopped it will give the government and corporations full power over every individual with no ability to oppose it. It will give powers to:

1. Limit freedom of movement and travel

2. Censor freedom of speech & access to the internet

3. Limit purchases 

4. Remove ability to protect assets and personal bank accounts

5. Remove freedom to associate with whoever one chooses

6. Monitor people like prisoners

7. Remove freedom to protest 

8. Remove the ability to reject A.I. surveillance in the future

This level of surveillance is used in Australian prisons to remove freedom from prisoners. It is also used in authoritarian countries like Russia and China to dictate oppressive laws. It is not suitable for our democracy and free nation.  It has no place in Australia. 

AI surveillance technology is DANGEROUS AND NOT SAFE. It is the most dangerous and invasive spying technology ever invented. Extreme surveillance will allow government & corporations opportunities to control every aspect of life and give them powers to take away all freedoms and rights. The claim that it will stop crime is false. It will hand all power and rights to a few exposing every individual to great malfeasance and corruption.

Sporting events, concerts, shops, etc.. DO NOT require overreaching, prison type powers of surveillance to make them safe. Theft in stores does not justify extreme surveillance.

The quiet and secretive installation of A.I. surveillance tools in our community is a growing threat to privacy and freedom. It is a crucial time in history where we must take action to stop it. We must act NOW to prevent a future where all humanity is watched, tracked, and controlled. 

Our ancestors gave their lives to keep Australia free. Our children and grandchildren’s future must remain free.

A.I. surveillance must be completely banned from use in Australia.
