Shameful but fortunately they admitted their mistake. Hope they apologize properly to her.
I think less of Brebeuf, not the teacher
The school committed an offence, not the teacher.
I think the school should be fined.
Accountability
some adult decided this was the best course of action. Who was it, specifically?
we should be shaming this type of behavior. When ones hides behind some form of 'authoritative right to anonymity' and then gets someone fired, you need explain yourself.
School offered job back ... finally some sense !
I see they offered her job back. Seems like they want to comply with the law after all.
Let's see a public apology and a picture of over reactors.
Better yet, let the film star decide what she wants.
She was the wronged party.

Reason for the removal: Misunderstanding
Those among the admistration sufferiing under the delusion that a teacher should be nothing more than a paragon of unblemished virtue and who so failled to recognise this as a educational opportunity really outght to consider dismissing themselves.
Some of the films for which this seasoned educator is being "shamed" were in fact responsible in part for writer-director Jesus Franco receiving the Goya Award in his native Spain for his lifetime of achievement. I find the school's behavior in this matter both ignorant and offensive.
Re:
Yes. Jess Franco's films were also featured during a 2-months retrospective at the Paris Cinémathèque in 2008.
I find it disgusting that this type of stuff can happen in Canada.
