If the Zoo was smart, have 2 handlers at all time or remove the toger from the cage while it is being cleaned. Why would you kill an animal doing what they do.

Being a tiger. It's what it's wired to do in the wild and they are wild animals. If we being it from wild to protect it then we must do so. Also understand when working with these animals to never think it can be tamed. Protect yourself always to help protect these wild animals.

Because even though the tiger is in captivity doesn't mean their natural instincts go away, there are only 500 Sumatran tigers left into the wild due to humans wanting more land, infact human's are the most dangerous animals in existence, so please don't kill this beautiful cat for being a cat........ It only killed one person compared to the billions of animals amd other humans every day

As sad as it is that a keeper has lost her life and my thoughts go out to her family at this sad time I'm sure she would not want the same fate for the tiger. No matter weather or not a an animal is hand raised they will always have their natural instincts. You can take the tiger out of the wild but you can not take the wild out of the tiger.

we keep wild animals in captivity for various reasons but WE are responsible for their health & well-being.......natural instincts prevail in any animal and unfortunately this tragedy is the result of keeping large carnivores.

If humans take animals out of the wild there are consequences... even if the tiger was born in captivity, he's still a caged wild animal, and to euthanise him for being what he is makes no sense.

It's just doing what comes by instinct. Humans decided that zoos where a good idea, to remove wild creatures and try to tame them, humans must live with the consequences. These amazing animals shouldn't be in this situation!

because it wasn:t oz"s fault.not sure why keeper was in the enclosure with him.tigers should be in separate enclosure if it is to be cleaned out not sure what the story was for keeper to be in there.

I signed this petition because there is always a danger with holding wild animals in a cage. The keeper would have known this and if she died at the hands of the Tiger she died doing what she loved. I can't believe they're even considering killing this majestic animal, you are contributing to the worldwide extinction of Sumatran tigers if you euthanize it.

This animal is kept in an enclosure against his nature. His nature isn't to play by human rules. Us humans can reason, so we have to play by Oz's rules if we want to 'keep' him.
