cranhill park public safety glasgow

Please everyone sign this petition as it is now becoming clear just how unsafe that cranhill park is becoming and the more of us who sign this petition might just help to have our voices heard

I live two minutes away from cranhill park. Certain parts definitely need more lights and also police need to check this park more often.

We need better police units around cranhill.aream keep every 1 safe and kids

In the last 6 month alone there has been 3 murders and an attempted murder

Re has also been a few rape in this park over time I was hearing on the bus the other day that a woman was chased throw the park early hours and was terrified ! Everyone should sign or at least share this as its vital to our community for the safety of our friends family and neighbours ! I live minutes away from cranhill park and take my daughter and dog walks through there its terrifying at night you can't see 2feet in front off you

I grew up in cranhill and never ever did this happen to my knowledge. Everyone had a great community spirit. This needs to happen again so everyone stays safe.

Walk through this park early mornings and late nights every day lighting is terrible I use my phone light to help ..

I have been raised and still live in Cranhill but these recent events have totally disgusted me and I don't want any more people or families to suffer!!! We need to look out for each other to keep us and ofcourse our kids safe.

Have lived in Cranhill for over 40 years, walk this area often with my dog, only in daylight though but will not be going back, we need our families to feel safe & the recent events in this area have been horrific :(

not only in the park but on most streets and more police uniformed and plain clothes patrols should be happening

Its about time something was done about cranhill park they should shut it down

be proactive not reactive

There should no need to be a petition for better lighting in any public parks this should be automatic

I don't believe the park should be shut down it is a very well used park by all kinds of people from our comunity

Cranhill was a great place to grow up in when I was young I want this generation to have the same

I have lived in Cranhill for over 44 years.. Something needs to be done, for the safety of our oaps,men,woman and kids. I dont believe that closing the park is a good idea, as its used by a number of people within the community. Its not just the park.

Quite correct its not just the park I have had to call police at times as I've been out with my wee one and there has been junkies hitting up in a bush, folk setting fires , fighting and stray dogs attacking other dogs being walked by people its not just the park its the attraction from the wrong sort due to its secluded areas.
