I don't see any point in it

Honestly how is our learning affected by texting at break and lunch? School is for learning and I. Don't think anyone is stupid enough to say that we should be able to use our phones in lessons, because I think we're mature enough to understand that rule. However break and lunch is our free time to relax. If a student needs to contact home because they feel upset or have personal matters, you don't want to have to phone them in front of an audience.
Plus if the person you're contacting isn't on a break at the same time then they won't be able to answer the phone and texts mean that you can each reply throughout out the day in your own time ....

I totally agree with everything you said, apart from the "teachers went nuts", it's their job to inforce rule made by Mrs. L.Golds and the Governors unfortunately, some of them our on ours side of this debate. They just don't want to say so.

It annoyed me the fact that they where acting like nothing had happened,it seems to me that they are trying to avoid the subject at all...!!!

Listen, why can't we all just work together for once! If you are in the years below year 11 then your going to get hit hard by this! Work with us year 11 for once so that you can have some freedom

I think the ban is really stupid because the school is just showing the students how to get their own way. Also, when I was there we spent lots of time gathered around a person playing a game on their phone; we would all be talking together; cheerful; it stopped us from going around doing stupid things at break and lunch.

it is stupid and i think that people that don't have their phones out in lessons then they should be allowed to have them at break and lunch

If you are 12 years old, why would you be in college? And tbh, we arent aloud our phones out AT ALL now either so no need to cry and make us feel sympathetic towards you.
