the sentence was far too lienent ..should have been two years at least..it was no punishment at all for the cruelty inflicted on the dog

Any person that even slightly hurts an animal, should be banned for LIFE not a few years and there should be a registar of ALL the culprits. Unacceptable,

Scum of the earth! He's a disgrace to society and his mother who he lives with is a raging alcoholic who is currently on tag for racially abusing a shop keeper so says a lot about the family! I was at school which this guy and he is not "depressed" he is a massive drug addict who plainly gets kicks bullying innocent animals! Amazing though as he walks with his head down and won't say boo to a goose! They need to throw away the key!

Totally disgraced at the sickening treatment this man brought upon that poor defenceless puppy. He deserves to be locked up for longer.

The video which I saw was the most horrific sickening thing I have ever seen. He should be locked up for life the way he treated that poor defenceless puppy.the sentence for that disgusting human being is way way to lenient. And he should be band from ever going neat another animal ever again

If you did that to a person you would serve longer so what's the difference?

This monster should NEVER, EVER be allowed to have ANY animals. I wouldn't trust him around ANY vulnerable being at all. Sentence was FAR too lenient. I am just thankful for his quick thinking neighbour that helped to get him convicted. I am also thankful that poor Dudley survived his horrendous ordeal & has found a loving home.

I believe we must stick up for all the defenceless animals that have ever been mistreated. This kind of behaviour is unacceptable. These heartless people need to be stopped and shown they can not get away with behaviour like this! I hope this petition is recognised and can help show the cruel animal abusers that they will be punished for their actions !

He also needs to be banned from keeping animals for the rest of his life!

The sentence should reflect the crime-any form of cruelty should carry at least 2 years. We need to drive it home among the young that this is abhorrent behaviour!

If this was a 2month old child instead of a dog I'm sure the sentence would have been different. Abuse is abuse, regardless of species and should have the same consequence.

I watched the video of what he did to that tiny puppy and I can imagine that is not the first animal he has done this to. It is an atrocious act and he should never be allowed to own another animal again. What was the point of sentencing him for 80 days if it was just going to be halved, he can behave as well as he likes in prison but that won't guarantee he won't do this to another animal, and who's to say it wouldn't progress to him treating people that way. He will just find a way to hide it better.
