Please open all beaches to kitesurfers again.
As reactions on www.kiteforum.com show, many kitesurfers have to consider traveling to Greece now if this law stays active.

Greek Authorities look what the Kitesurfing Legislation is on other countries and change accordingly! You are going to loose a big chunk of your tourism if you don"t change this law!

Hello,

i cancelled my trip to greece islands too. I can not understand this law, why is kiting forbidden and windsurfing not? I thought tourism is much important for the Greece economy, especially in this hard times. Please note that Kite sufers are good tourists, who travel all over the year and not only on summer holiday time. Eg. Egypt a big part of the tourists during the Egypt revoloution were Kitesurfers!!

We are coming to Greece every summer for more than one month, only to go kitesurfing. And not only my family, but also most other people we know from the holidays only come to Greece for kitesurfing.

If it wi be forbidden to kitesurf this summer, we will go to Spain or France to go kitesurfing. I don't think that is what the Greece government wants in this hard times.

Please keep kitesurfing allowed in Greece

Use to go kiting in Rhodos every year, enjoyed weather, wind and friendliness. But the keyreason to go was kitesurfing. Just in time i learned about this i rebooked the vacation of my family. I hope the ruling will be reversed, but if still in place next year my choice will be clear.

Pity, greece was a nice mix of old stones to visit + kite.
I will then spending money with my family in turkey, instead of greece.

Totally don't understand the law. Yeah it's always easier for someone to ban it totally than to make rules or at least try to understand what's going on. Greece should get inspired from abroad, the rules are not so complicated for every single beach users...

I was thinking of taking a vacation in Greece, already looking for good spots to kitesurf, but this decision is heavily influencing that. Perhaps Egypt or (more likely) Sardinia will be the place of destination instead of Greece.

iam Greek but i live in Canada now.One of the reason who iam going every summer in Greece is kiteboarding.why they made that stupid law? i dont know but iam sure iam thinking a lot before i decide to go there again and spend a summer without surf on the water.I hope that change because is stupid,very stupid
