Enable the choice for light blue graduation gowns back

I have been waiting since Freshman year to wear the light blue caps and gowns :(
How does Dougherty expect students to be able to go off into in the real world if the school just completely shelters them from anything that could potentially offend students even in the slightest. It is understandable to not have it be split boy/girl but to completely remove it and have the whole class have sense of distinction? ... If the students dont expierance any type of human diversity how do they expect them to be able approach anything when they are out in the real world? Plus, I look better in light blue than I do in navy.

I think it's unfair and thank you to whoever made this petition. I believe gender equality is good, but this is not caring for the people who have already taken photos. Wouldn't it be more gender equal to choose what color you want. Dark navy was also originally the guys color, so it still isn't gender equal if females want to wear light blue, let them wear light blue!
