Water Crisis in Ekurhuleni

Water is a basic human right. We have to pay for it, instead of collecting it from streams, therefore it should be available to all.

I am sick and tired of the government and municipalities miss managing funds and endless excuses of blaming the previous regime while having spent all the reserves of the previous regime for personal gain. The first people who should have been affected by power/water outages should be the corrupt government officials, then perhaps we the people of South Africa wouldn't have these problems. Time for changes, out with the old tunnel vision government and let the younger who have a future, build this once beautiful country to its full potential.

Because I just had enough of this ongoing lies why we don't have water because of drought what a bulldust story and it takes them forever to fix the problem. We cannot go without water and there's a lot of old people who struggle to walk and cannot go the the watertanks where it's been placed. Like my Mom she cannot walk without her walker how can she manage to carry even 1 bucket of water. This is ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!

I signed tis petition because it's the 2nd time that I have been without running water for days on end. I have 2 small kids which can't even attend to school due to this incompetence. Then not to mention the inconvenience of trying to get water from tankers and money I need to spend on drinking water.

BEEN WITHOUT WATER FOR 7 DAYS NOW. WE ARE ELDERLY AND THE WATER TANKS ARE A KILOMETER AWAY FROM US. EXTRA EXPENSE IN TRAVEL WE DID NOT BUDGET FOR.

Because we as residents have suffered enough under the miss managment of the emm and rand water.

We need the DA to run Gauteng, as they run Cape Town. Smooth and effective.

As a taxpayer -of too much tax - i need a much better service

We are one of the areas that are effected. We are tired of this problem. They must do their job, that is for what they get paid for!

I am appalled that the current government has not improved the infrastructure in our area. We have water cut offs often so sorting out our water problem should have been done years ago! We pay for our water!

Because I have my parents staying with me (ages 75 and 78) and the water issue is affecting their health!!

This is the second time in just over a year that we have had NO water. The first time was last September for 8 days and now we are in our 7th day with no real answers or solutions as to when this will be rectified.

Too much has been neglected and eventually the system will collapse - power, water, sewerage systems!

Tired if all the lies and corruption on our water supply we pay our taxes continuance checking and fixing and maintenance we all are totally fed up and ask immediate results and answers this is suppose a great country not the way it's going

We have had no water for 7 days. We have suffered enough . Happened last srptember as well. We pay rates and taxes but dont get good services. Ashley Rutherford DA is the only person trying to help us. No one else gives a damn for us!!!!

I signed hoping that we get more service delivery from the DA (which I know we will) than the ANC. All they know what to do is to steal, corruption and not to deliver anything promised!!!!

It is unacceptable the mismanagement that is taking place on all levels with service delivery and then quite acceptable to buy a multi billion rand jet for a president who contributes absolutely nothing!
