Petition against paid parking in Amstelveen

Short description

Stop introducing paid parking in the whole of Amstelveen. There is no parking pressure in many neighbourhoods. This plan will unnecessarily burden businesses and residents. We advocate for customisation and blue zones where necessary.

We note that:
Not all neighbourhoods in Amstelveen experience parking pressure, as the municipality claims. There is sufficient parking space in many areas. Introducing paid parking will also lead to less customers for local businesses, which threatens their continued existence.

And request:
Revise the plan for paid parking and re-examine the parking pressure per neighbourhood. Limit measures to busy areas with blue zones where necessary, with a maximum parking duration of 2 hours. This way, Amstelveen remains accessible and liveable for everyone.
