Justice for ST George students
We, the undersigned, are alumni, parents, and former/current learners of St George School.
We are deeply concerned about sexual harassment, intimidation, and abuse of power
occurring at the school. A learner has reportedly been sexually harassed by the principal, Mr
Ngungwini, and threatened those who reported or witnessed the incident. Such behavior is
unacceptable and puts the safety, dignity, and well-being of learners at serious risk.
We also note ongoing abuse of authority and corporal punishment, which have negatively
affected learners for years.
We therefore call for the following actions:
1. Immediate protection of the affected learner(s) from harm or retaliation.
2. A thorough, impartial investigation into the allegations against Mr Ngungwini.
3. Appropriate disciplinary action against any staff member found guilty of abuse,
harassment, or intimidation.
4. Measures to ensure the school is a safe, respectful, and lawful environment for all
learners.
We urge the Director, DBE, and SAPS to act promptly and decisively. The safety of learners cannot be compromised
