License Pretty Cure Merchandise In The United States

A Adrien Perez · US

Toei Animation Co., Ltd. and Bandai Namco Toys & Collectibles America Inc. should license Pretty Cure merchandise in the United States by December 2026.

The problem is simple: the 2004 Pretty Cure series (Known as Futari Wa Pretty Cure in Japan) has it's English dub streaming on Hulu in the United States, but fans still do not have the same easy access to official toys and other merchandise. The franchise is available to watch, while the products that help it live like in Japan remain out of reach for American Viewers.

The Pretty Cure merchandise in Japan has made ¥26.76 billion Japanese Yen in 2004 (Which Is Equal To $163.4 million USD).

This matters for more than one group. Young fans who want to play with official toys, like The Card Commune and The Rainbow Brace! Should not be left with nothing while the show is available to stream. At the same time, 2000s anime enthusiasts who want to learn more about the series are being shut out from official goods they would gladly buy. If nothing changes, the U.S. audience may shrink when the official product line stays limited, fragmented, or unavailable.

The solution is to make a real licensing plan for the U.S. market and bring official Pretty Cure merchandise to American customers in a way they can actually buy. That means toys, collectibles, and other merchandise should be released through normal U.S. retail channels, including listings that can be ordered easily online, such as Amazon and Target, so fans are not forced to rely on imports or unofficial sellers. The merchandise from Italy did very well! So there is no reason not to have official merchandise in the United States as well.

Also, there should be English Releases of dolls of Cure Black and Cure White, along with English Releases of plushies of the fairies, Mepple, Mipple, and Porun!

We ask Toei Animation Co., Ltd. and Bandai Namco Toys & Collectibles America Inc. to approve and announce a U.S. merchandise licensing arrangement no later than December 2026, with a clear plan for official English-language product releases after that. This would match the audience the series is already reaching, strengthen the brand in a growing market, and give American fans lawful access to the products they are ready to buy.

Pretty Cure should be supported in the United States the same way it is being introduced there on screen: with official, accessible merchandise that matches the demand.
