Reinstate lainshaw lollipop person

The council has decided to remove the lollipop person from the crossing outside the school because of the traffic calming measures.

As a parent of a child who’s about to start walking to and from school on their own—and seeing the sheer number of kids crossing there every day and the constant stream of cars at busy times—I think this decision is really concerning and a bit baffling. It doesn’t feel safe, and I can’t understand why the council thinks it’s acceptable.

I’m hoping to contact the council about it, and I’d encourage others to do the same so there’s a stronger chance they’ll rethink this (silly) decision.
