We, the undersigned residents, homeowners, business owners, and community members, together with Friends of Wolwespruit NPC, hereby submit this petition regarding the growing presence of people hiding and camping in the open area next to Dely Road where it passes beneath the N1, adjacent to the (South of Dely Road and Gotcha Paintball)
This area lies approximately 800metres from the presidential Guesthouse and borders the suburb of Waterkloof Heights. The open space between the spruit, the Dely Road N1 bridge, Outeniqua Avenue, and Stapelia Road is increasingly being used by criminal elements as a hiding place, resulting in a noticeable increase in crime and serious safety concerns for the surrounding community.
Friends of Wolwespruit is a community-driven initiative focused on protecting the spruit, preserving the natural environment, and preventing pollution in the spruit and its surroundings. The current situation is directly undermining these efforts and is having a severe negative impact on public safety, the environment, and the broader community.

We respectfully request that the relevant authorities urgently investigate this matter and implement appropriate actions to restore safety, environmental protection, and public order in the area.
