Safety in the South West Community
Petition for Improved Safety and Addressing Antisocial Behavior in the South West Community.
We, the local residents of the South West Community, are deeply concerned about the growing safety issues and increasing incidents of antisocial behavior in our community. Over the years but more so this past year, we have witnessed a rise in public drug and alcohol abuse, vandalism, dangerous and aggressive behaviour, extreme litter and rubbish all over the streets and Whitmore Square which has created an environment where residents no longer feel secure in their own homes or public spaces.
As a community, we believe it is crucial to take immediate action to restore safety, respect, and peace to our suburb. This petition calls for increased government and Adelaide city council presence, solutions to be put in place by our government and Adelaide City Council, more funding for police, as for safety better lighting and cameras in key areas, enhanced community engagement programs, and more effective measures to prevent and address antisocial behavior. We want to work with local authorities to ensure that the South West Community becomes a safe, welcoming place for all residents.
