Stop IVF for lesbians

We, the undersigned, petition the UK Government to remove the right for lesbians to receive In-Vitro Fertilisation in the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 2008.

At the very least, we demand the Government legislate to ensure such treatment is not available free on the NHS.

This is in the news because lesbians Megan and Whitney Bacon-Evans, together known as ‘Wegan’, have won free IVF from the NHS. But either could conceive naturally if they wanted. Why are they wasting taxpayers' money? Why is IVF for gays and lesbians who have no reproductive problem allowed in leglislation at all? This abuse of public money must end and IVF, if it is to be offered, must be for couples in a stable relationship trying for God's gift of a baby.
